Stuart B. Millner is the President and CEO of Stuart B. Millner & Associates.

 

There are very few people in the business of Industrial Asset Management, Auctions and Appraisals with the depth of experience as Mr. Millner. His companies have successfully completed over 1,000 plant closing projects. From the smallest machine shop to the largest corporation, Mr. Millner has managed contracts for companies in the United States, Mexico, Canada, South Africa and China. Through the years, he has developed a vast network of clients and customers worldwide.

 

Mr. Millner was part of the United States mission to Hungary and Poland after the fall of the Iron Curtain. He was called upon to advise those countries regarding the best method to manage the assets of closed plants. In the late 1990s, General Motors requested his expertise in the development of an asset recovery program for the company that is still in use today.

 

After the accident of the space shuttle Discovery, NASA set out to develop a new solid rocket motor for their shuttle program. Due to budget restraints by Congress, the project was abandoned and Mr. Millner was chosen to manage the sale of those assets, a $20 million dollar recovery program.

 

Other contracts awarded to Mr. Millner include:


   ·   The management of the sale of all Pan American Airlines assets
   ·   US Steel plants in McKeesport and Duquesne, Pennsylvania
   ·   Westinghouse plants throughout the US
   ·   Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant
   ·   and nearly every Fortune 500 company

In 1995, Mr. Millner created a one-of-a-kind asset recovery program utilized in plant closings TOTAL PLANT DEACTIVATION (TPD). In response to the imminent closure of some US power plants, his company has recently formed a new division specializing in the management of POWER PLANT DEACTIVATIONS (PPD).

 

Mr. Millner is a graduate of Washington University with a degree in Marketing. He serves on many charitable and not-for-profit boards, helping to raise millions of dollars for charities in the St. Louis, Missouri area. He was one of the founders of Landmark Bankshares and has served as Chairman of the Board of one of its banks. He is married to Bren, who is active in the business. He has four children and seven grandchildren.
